Mini Man got a frog for Christmas. Little Man saw that I was making a frog for Mini Man (this will probably be the last year I can make gifts for the boys in front of the boys) and after looking through the book, requested Nemo.
I was happy to oblige. I used the book Little Knitted Creatures for the pattern.
Overall, I'm happy with it. I'm not in love with the tail. It is only one thickness (patterns in the book are usually folded in half or two sides are sewn together) so I was unsure what to do with the yarn tails from the different colors. I ended up just wrapping them around the end of the row and trying to weave them back into the tail. I'm not sure if that was the best approach or if there was a better way.
My favorite part is the "nose."

ReplyDeleteOh my, it has been too long since I've been over to visit! Your frog and Nemo are both adorable! I love that you added a tag to the bottom- they'll always know you made it for them :) I don't think my little guys enjoy what I make for them as much as yours seem to- the other day Cooper told me that he felt "lame" carrying the scripture bag I made him at Church! I also love your newsboy hats- you men look so cute in them! Hope your new year is going awesome so far :)

ReplyDeleteI love the nemo fish! So many color changes too. I tend to be lazy about color changes in my crochet stuff- but the impact just isn't the same without them.
