New Sock Monkeys

I made Little Man a sock monkey for his first Christmas.  I wanted to continue the tradition and made a sock monkey for Mini Man.

I used animal safety eyes rather than buttons and really love how they look.

I embroidered Mini Man's name onto a felt heart then sewed the heart to the monkey's chest.

My favorite part of this guy is his belly.  I didn't intentionally give him a belly, but I think its appropriate.  Mini Man has quite the baby belly.

And because Red Heel socks come in packages of two (pairs) I made Little Man a new sock monkey.  Also because his first sock monkey isn't look too great anymore.  I took the heart off his first monkey and attached it to the new monkey.

Aren't they cute?

I think Mini Man likes his new friend.

  1. Confession- I don't think it ever occurred to me that the socks that sock monkeys were made out of were actual socks you could buy? Where do you get them? These are adorbs of course!

  3. I LOVE them, Kenda!!! The bright red against the grey/brown and white is a great combination and the heart with their names is a fabulous idea. A sock monkey is still on my list, although it's moved further down.
